September 14, 1903 — Fall of the Krushevo Republic
Ottoman forces, numbering in the tens of thousands, successfully captured the town of Krushevo, effectively ending the short-lived Krushevo Republic established during the Ilinden Uprising. Despite fierce resistance, the revolutionary administration was overwhelmed, and the subsequent suppression of the region resulted in severe devastation and civilian loss.
September 14, 1923 — Uprising Spreads to Northwestern Bulgaria
Following the early outbreak in Măgliž, the September Uprising expanded rapidly to the northwestern regions of Bulgaria, including Montana and Vratsa. Revolutionary committees began mobilizing local peasants, forming armed detachments that successfully captured several villages and severed rail links to slow government military reinforcements.
