September 24, 1877 \u2014 Romanian Army Joins Siege of Pleven<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The Romanian army, under the command of Prince Carol I, officially joined the Russian forces in the siege operations around Pleven. The joint command structure helped coordinate artillery bombardments and containment forces, creating an impenetrable blockade that eventually broke the resistance of the Ottoman garrison.<\/p>\n

September 24, 1923 \u2014 Government Counter-Offensive Against Insurgents<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Government troops and paramilitary units launched a powerful counter-offensive against the centers of the September Uprising. Armed with heavy artillery and machine guns, the military recaptured several occupied towns in the Northwest, forcing the rebel detachments to retreat into the Balkan Mountains or seek refuge in neighboring Yugoslavia.<\/p>\n
